Alberta Ferretti’s Spring/Summer 08 collection featured ombre dresses

There is an inspiring article about Ombre in this month’s Living, Martha Stewart’s magazine. I’m planning to try it out soon and upload the results. I suspect that much interior design and product styles follow fashion trends from runway shows, since ombre patterns were featured in recent fashion articles.

Next next Sunday, I am going to see the Maker Faire in San Mateo, CA. Make Magazine from O’Reilly Press promotes “technology on your time” and comes loaded each time with lots of information about how to make electronics and trinkets at home. I like the DIY culture that they promote. The crazy projects featured in the pages affirm my belief that a diversity in ideas makes creativity thrive.
