I’m preparing for my 2nd grade art lessons again. I will be doing a printing project, because the children haven’t done that this whole year. I spent an afternoon experimenting to get ideas, and had so much fun. There were so many ways to print something that I had to wait a day to calm down and look at the big picture. Ideally, I would like to take out the children to make rubbings from interesting surfaces, pull out some weeds from the ground, and print plant impressions in the classroom. I also want to do a foam block print with the kids, because they could get cleaner results, which they could learn to control.
Soon I will be making notebooks with block printed covers.
